Photographer Chris Saunders is in South Africa
Chris Saunders is a South African photographer and filmmaker working between Paris and Johannesburg. He started out in fashion, editorial and advertising photography before venturing into documentary projects centred around African sub-cultures through his optimistic and vivid lens. Saunders has contributed and been commissioned by numerous well known global publications over the years and continues to enjoy collaborations with some of the world's leading agencies, records labels, musicians and brands both as a director and photographer. What unifies much of Saunders output is its empowering exploration of social diversity in contemporary culture with a strong focus on expression through performance and dance. He prides himself on building stories in his images, highlighting individuality within his frames and working closely with a vast database of incredible collaborators from varied backgrounds who help create his projects
