Rich Mnisi is the designer and founder of his eponymous contemporary fashion brand, launched in 2014 after being awarded the title of AFI Young Designer of the Year 2014. While the brand is young at heart, it speaks to an aspirational market. Firmly rooted in African heritage but with a global view, the brand explores modern culture and identity to tell unique stories of then, now and soon. Provocative yet minimalist structures and expert craftsmanship characterise the brand, which brings together worlds of artistic imagination. Rich’s work has been featured in the editorial pages of both local and international media and Rich’s keen interest in aesthetic development and creative direction has led him to collaborate with brands such as Marianne Fassler, Singleton, Ford, Woolworths, Skip, The Guild Group, Fundudzi by Craig Jacobs and Kaya FM.
