LAW OF DESIRE // Produced by Lampost for Dazed Magazine
Photographic production on location can be rife with many challenges. I have had my experience of deserts, beaches and wilderness along with many forms of nature in protest while trying to achieve "the shot”. None has marked me quite as profoundly as the natural disaster we unwittingly flew into on the 9th April in KwaZulu-Natal. We witnessed the devastation caused by massive flooding first hand. Travelling to Amandawe while hefty ship containers effortlessly floated across the freeway and sink holes appeared at every turn.This story captures the power of the incredible artist Desire while being a tribute to the resilience and courage of the people of the KZN province in a time of chaos.Thanks to our fearless and masterful team on photography, styling, makeup and hair - without whom none of this would have been possible!
