Lampost

T-Mag with Kristin-Lee Moolman

Shot in Johannesburg, photographer Kristin-Lee Moolman explores fashion through a lens that’s anything but ordinary. In this T-Magazine feature, she captures garments that speak volumes. A LAMPOST production brought to life by a powerhouse crew including Mimi Duma and Alexandra Julliet Botha, the result is a vivid celebration of individuality, where sharp tailoring meets unruly texture, and every frame pulses with fearless energy.

Stylist Zara Mirkin brings an intuitive understanding of silhouette and movement, shaping looks that feel deliberate and expressive. Working alongside Mimi Duma and Alex Botha, the energy on set becomes fluid and collaborative, with each contributor feeding into the next layer of the image.

Kristin’s approach to storytelling is deeply alive, always searching for tension, intimacy and unexpected beauty in equal measure. There is a rawness to the work that resists over-polishing, allowing emotion, gesture and atmosphere to remain visible within the frame. For the team, the process itself becomes part of the final narrative. As part of the LAMPOST perspective, these productions are spaces where ideas evolve in real time, where styling, casting, movement and mood continuously reshape one another.

The creative team reflected on how immersive the wardrobe experience became throughout the shoot — a reminder that fashion carries its own emotional language when placed in the right hands. Each garment shifted the tone of the imagery differently, sometimes commanding attention, other times quietly amplifying the presence of the talent wearing it. Together, these elements reinforce how powerful visual storytelling can become when collaboration is fully aligned, instinctive and unafraid to experiment.
