Not the type of photographer to wait for things to happen, Travys’ success is in part due to his extensive list of self-initiated projects for international magazines as well as directing music videos for local artist Spoek Mathambo’s Eye of the Sun and more recently Petit Noir’s track Best.
Travys’ work is characterised by a surreal otherworldliness that is the result of his strong conceptual approach and polished style. His work has been featured in numerous local and international publications, with some notable examples including the cover of Fader Magazine (New York), Falke (Germany), La Petit Magazine (Paris), the cover of Honore Magazine (Sweden), ID Magazine, and Pause Magazine (UK).
