Chloe Andrea Welgemoed's career in fashion began in textile printing and garment manufacturing, an unconventional entry point that gave her a hands-on understanding of how clothing is actually made before she moved into styling it. She progressed to become an in-house stylist for an online retailer, and within just six months was approached to sign with an agency, a fast trajectory that speaks to her early talent. Her studies in Branding Communications and Image Consulting have shaped how she approaches her work, and her passion for the African Renaissance movement runs through much of it. Time spent in Nigeria, in particular, influenced her outlook, and she has chosen to reflect African travel and culture throughout her styling work ever since. Now based in London, she works across seasonal collections for a range of brands, alongside advertising campaigns for major clients including Coca-Cola, Nike, Chevrolet, Absolut Vodka, and Nivea, plus editorial work for Kaltblut Magazine, Revs Mag, and Hunger TV. Career highlights include a nomination for Stylist of the Year in Africa, a collaboration with photographer Justin Dingwall on the internationally acclaimed "Fly By Night" series, and work with renowned stylist Jessica Deihl on the Dior African Cruise collection campaign. A critical thinker on set, she leads with initiative and creative energy, and over the past decade has expanded her skillset to include costume design and set design.
