Working as photographer, creative director and sculptor, Tatenda brings the same precision and instinct for form that defines his practice, turning each piece into a kind of second skin, worn briefly and then shed, echoing the way nature itself is in constant transformation.

Alongside Julian Robinet behind the camera for film and model Brian Mashele as the piece's central figure, Tatenda lets the reserve become a true collaborator. The land provides the material and the work simply reveals what was already true within it, that identity, like nature, is never fixed. It grows, it sheds, it becomes something else entirely, and Metamorphosis leaves that question open.
