Shané Badenhorst

Shané is a South African art director, stylist and set builder working across art direction, props, and wardrobe. Her practice is defined by a considered, detail-oriented approach.

Beginning her career as a model, Shané’s perspective shifted toward the construction of image-making. An early role in the art department sparked a deeper interest in building visual worlds, leading her to develop a multidisciplinary practice shaped by observation, collaboration, and hands-on experience on set.

Her work is informed by a sensitivity to space. She responds to the environment she is working within, creating scenes that feel cohesive, intentional, and grounded. Central to her practice is a commitment to sustainability. Working under the name “The Conscious Stylist,” she prioritises upcycling, reuse, and responsible sourcing, approaching each project with an awareness of both environmental and material impact.
