Refiloe is a stylist whose eye for texture and instinct for story set him apart on set. He studied fashion and got his start in retail, learning the industry from the ground up before a single phone call, an invitation to style on set, changed the direction of his career entirely. What began as an unexpected opportunity quickly became a calling. Growing up in the township shaped the way Refiloe sees the world. He is drawn to texture, to people, and to the understanding that everyone carries a different story worth telling. He has a particular fascination with pairing fabrics that were never meant to sit together, chasing contrast and texture wherever he can find it, and an equally strong eye for objects and textures the moment he walks into a room. Artistic, soft and fully present, Refiloe approaches his work with both instinct and intention. He trusts his gut in the moment, especially on set, but stays deliberate about understanding direction and delivering what the work needs. His visual language favours contrast over uniformity, texture over polish, and always looks for the detail that makes a look feel considered rather than assembled.
